I have a Virgin Mobile cell phone. (Yeah I know..they suck, but they're the only ones I can get in my area that work well with my hearing aids.)
Now that I'm on a minutes pack it doesn't cost me too much so long as I only use it as a phone and not for text messages, which suits me fine since I consider text messaging a waste of time and money. I can usually call someone and get my point accross faster than I can text. Over all, I'm not too unhappy with my service except for one small little recurring problem…
Apparently Virgin Mobile reuses their numbers quite frequently and apparently waaay too many bints are deciding to use these disposable phones for their bill collectors. I keep getting bullshit calls from 646-352-9999 about "Jessica" from such and such financial, which pisses me off twice—once because someone called me and wasted my time making me think it was for me, and two because these dumbfucks hear my voice message and still decide to leave a message for "Jessica" to call them back. This means they're costing me minutes. For the record, my name actually IS David, so I don't see how there can be any confusion….
Any way I just called them up and screamed into the phone to stop wasting my time I'm on a prepaid cellphone and there is no Jessica here…
Think they'll get the message?

Curse them out. "stop fucking calling my house, asshole!" or something similar. They can't do anything.

I pay per second I call: 0.00198067 USD (converted)
And per text is: 0.01584536 USD (converted)
Is it really that expensive in the United States? Oh, and I don't have any fee to start a call, nor am I binded by contract or get a bill each month.
But to your topic, no, they won't get the point, cause if they need to get to someone they will keep calling untill they find them - even if its the last oppertunity.

Over here it's usually 10 cents a minute for prepaid phones. But the walkie talkie feature in boost and nextel phones costs a dollar a day (and you're only charged when using it) and it gives you infinite time. I live in the hood so everyone has em.
