I did eat a few sandwiches with salami and dark chocolate before going to bed, but this is just ridiculous. It's burning like hell! I woke up and my insides are basically on fire. I've been in pain for hours and only now it is starting to wear off so that I can type this.
It's both a general stomach ache and in my throat. It's horrible. I don't understand why this happens. I cannot remember when it happened the last time, but now I won't dare to eat anything before going to bed anymore… :-(

try taking an antiacid pill like Tums. Maybe you have heartburn.

heartburn doesn't literally mean your heart hurts, it's when it feels like the area around your heart hurts, aka the throat and sstomach. It's caused by strong acid that goes up in your throat and causes a burning sensation. The next time you go to the drugstore or grocery store you should get some antiacids, just in case this happens again.

Does your abdomen still feel tender? Especially on the right side? My appendicitis started off like that so you should get it checked out.

the first thing i do if i dont have tums, mylanta or gaviscon handy is drink a glass of milk.
the milk fats help neutralise the acids and can help a little bit.
reflux is where the sphincter from your stomach to your throat doesn't close tight enough and sometimes your throat can feel like after a good spewing session.
stomach acid can eat through almost anything thats why it hurts so much.

@52,899I didn't have the dark chocolate on the sandwiches. I ate it separately but shortly afterwards.

Stomach ulcer perhaps.
And it's a bitch when it has burst open, I couldn't do a thing and they had to do some surgery.
