Now Kwanzaa is a holiday that is beginning to interest me, because it's about family and unity. Which is perfect for people who are more for family. Now I am wondering, can Kwanzaa be celebrated by other races other then blacks? Or is it solely for blacks? Is there any other holidays that is about family and unity?

I'm positive you don't need to be a specific skin color in order to celebrate Kwanzaa. But I hear Christmas brings dem families together, too.

You missed the joke. It's from Futurama, the Kwanzaa version of Santa goes around the world but instead of giving out toys he gives out copies of the book "What the Fuck is Kwanzaa" to people all over world.

To answer the question, no Kwanzaa isn't a holiday just for black people. It was created by an American and combined traditions from various African holidays in order to provide an alternative to Judeo-Christian holidays that are celebrated at the same time with the same values. There is nothing wrong with celebrating it as far as I know, but considering most black people don't celebrate it, you will probably end up looking like the Boondocks character Irresponsible White Teacher (a white guy who was a oddly in touch with "black" culture).

Actually,

Kwanzaa is a holiday started by Karenga, an African American activist in 1966.
It's celebrated from Dec. 26-Jan. 1st, and you MUST be African American to celebrate it.

It's whole root comes from the Black Nationalist Movement (Black Panthers) in the 1960s.

Take it from a white guy in a black neighborhood, whites and other races are NOT welcome to enjoy the celebrations.

Even when they celebrate the day of community, they still make it clear that I'm not to join.

It's a prideful, pointless, and altogether hypocritical holiday that's nothing more than black pride bullshit.

Actually, Karenga specifically said otherwise back in the 90s. He compared it to Cinco de Mayo and Chinese New Year in that it can be and is celebrated by people aside from the original target audience.

Yeah, that would be pretty stupid if Kwanzaa could only be celebrated by black people. Way to make your people more unlikable.
