Anyone? I won't explain my story yet but I'd like to see if anyone else has been v& before.
Obviously I got out of it innocent.

Been vanned before
They are outside your house for a day or two, then they come in while your home
They knocked on the door, but i could hear people in my backyard…so i open the door and they literally storm in
Handcufs (they make sure they make as much noise as possible to alert the neighbours) Then they put me in the back
When i got cleared i noticed that they had taken my computer and put it back…but they fucked up my keyboard cable (they pulled it out too hard, too fast, or did it on purpose) and they didnt bother plugging anything back in.
Didnt have any CP. Only browsed CP
But i do have a police report on me, im sure future employers can and will see this
I think it will come up as 'suspected of having explicit images'
Cant do anything about that i guess, but ever since that day…ive never given a shit anymore about covering my tracks, wtf they gunna do now double suspect me
fucken corrupt crap

Alright I'll tell my story then.
I live in England. I still live with my family (18). This was a few months ago
Got woken up by my mother telling me the police were here. I was confused as fuck. So I go downstairs find about 6 police officers taking away ALL PC stuff, optical media and whatnot too, anything which could store data on. Went into lounge and my sister told me my Dad's been arrested. Then my mother comes in and tells us that he's arrested on suspicion of owning indecent images of children. They then arrested my father because it was under his name, questioned him that day. I went to go see my girlfriend that day, didn't tell her shit but was worried as fuck.
It ended up with it being linked to my spam e-mail. I signed up to a forum and it turned out to be a CP forum which I didn't know (Was cleverly well disguised). I went in for an interview a month later (By that time we still had no computer shit, imagine it. No internet or video games for a month). I was arrested at the interview because they had to, I told them what I knew and told them it was accidental and I didn't even realise what the forum was.
About two weeks later they say they would return my sisters laptops because they had university and college work on there they had to do. But instead they come back with absolutely everything. Said we were free and no longer arrested. That was the best day of my life when they told me.
Seriously, going through all this was much worse than it sound. Drunk nights I had during the month ended up with me telling my two closest friends about it, I regret that. I also cried when I was drunk as well. It seriously fucks up your life, I mean, Fuck.
I recommend no-one to even bother with CP or anything like that. I didn't even think anything like that would happen to me.
Also sorry Sysop for the lingo, I forgot :\.

@55,417Okay, so what should we do if we want to give up viewing CP? We can stop, but we can't erase past things we may have viewed. How do we erase our records? I would hate to be arrested for something I gave up months or years ago.

Thats terrible. Just like V [ the movie ] and Orson Wells 1984.
Damn it. What was name? Guy Fawkes?
Too bad its never that easy. Another dumbass would rise to power, and the bullshit would happen again.
No V& here. I didn't get that reference till you told your story.
V and Ampersand. lol.
That story is scary shit. 1 month, no computer? Why didn't you get another one?

Alright I did get another PC, but it was limited because it was a cheap family one. Which my family used all the time so I didn't have any time to do anything. I just played on my PS3 all the time instead and sometimes went on Linux on there instead.
It also made me go out more tbh. Though it was a pain.

So far every "V&" story I've read has involved either:
-Innocent people
-People who were somehow too dumb not to dash out their personal information (like signing up for a forum).
I've NEVER seen stories about people being arrested because they visited certain sites or imageboards ONLY. I guess it really is a lot harder to 'get to you' if all they have is a host address and an IP. (It probably depends mostly on your country & ISP at that level. Which clearly disadvantages Americans and Britons since their governments have already sold out all their rights to private companies).

It was only because I signed up using my e-mail, then they tracked my IP from that. Nothing will happen on image boards. Probably a lot more chance if you use Limewire or that kind of shit.

@55,411What country were you in and what made the van suspect you in the first place?
