It always seems as if whenever someone has to have a representative for America, it's always a god damn hick/redneck/retarded piece of shit from the south? Not all of Americans are this god damn retarded, it almost makes me ashamed to be an American. I just want to label myself by my home state now and not home country. Are there any Americans here that feel the same way?

I would assume that, in the event of actual civil war in America, the south would have the overwhelming military advantage because most servicemen of all ranks swing that way.
It's not where the missiles are, it's who controls them.

@57,291The West will join the North while the Midwest joins the Sounth. You have Area 51 on your side, the South has the space coast and I presume they would get more nukes. The North has the Pentagon and FBI, while the CIA is between North and South. The Midwest has factories of all sorts to produce vehicles and weapons.
Back to the original topic though, America is known for cowboys and rednecks: one being the cool version and the other being the rude/stupid version. They just happened to become the most well exported version of America that is unique to the country. New York and California are both full of immigrants and end up just looking like a combination of the whole world instead of something that is only found in America.

It's pretty realistic, yeah. Considering China's professional army of hackers, they could in theory just take control of the enemy's missile capabilities and prevent them from launching, or worse - launch them themselves.
Then again I bet the control mainframes of missile silos aren't typically internet-connected PC's sitting in an office without any sort of security.

I watched the some of the Republican convention today, it's the first time i've taken an active interest in the political campaign of another country. I've got to say it was pretty scary, seemed like a lot of members of that audience and the rhetoric re-enforced the stereotypes.

As an American that once lived in the North and now lives in the deep South, it offends me that Southerners are all depicted as being brainless yokels. There's an absolute ton of white trash, NASCAR-loving, beer swilling jackholes that live in the dense forests of Pennsylvania just as there are any number of sensible, intelligent and cultured people in the South.
