An old game said "OPEN DOOR" when you had just opened a door. As if it wanted to say "DOOR IS OPENED" or "DOOR OPENED".
A bootable HDD disk utility says "Disable Mouse Support" and "Enable Mouse Support" when it disables and enables mouse support.
What's the deal with this kind of strange grammar in old/primitive software?

Usually the writers of said softwere were asian, more specifically japanese. Translations weren't too high on the to-do list back then, functionality was much more important (hence All your base became a meme)
