I am not talking about stupid "Platinum Edition", "Gamer's Choice" or "Xbox Classics" crap with ugly covers. I want the exact original or I might as well pirate the game or buy it second hand (which often means I have to pay a high price or else I get the item in bad condition, often missing parts).
Do they never fire up the factories to produce a new batch many years later? "Jumping Flash! 2" for PlayStation seems to be almost impossible to find these days, even second hand.
Wouldn't it make sense to get money from people who like old games? I think that fresh copies of many old games, unmodified from what they looked like back then, would sell.

Many of the companies are now defunct and have dropped or sold many older IP's. Also, it's cheaper to digitally distribute old games than to start up the factory again and start pumping out old games.

Okay, enlighten me. Who cares what kind of box the game comes in anyway? And why?

yes, they are being reproduced, but only the famous games like counter strike, warcraft III, StarCraft-i personally play StarCraft online and this game is like 10 years old and you can still order it online.I bought it last year and doesn't look 10 years old

While the old producers and developers may not "refurbish" the games as much as they need to, you can find many games re-made by independent creators or clones of the games. The XBLA has many(too many, if you ask me) remakes of old games, including a just released vamped-up version of Galaga.
You just have to look reeeally hard.

@57,530> XBLAI assume that you mean "Xbox Live Arcade". That's one big joke and has nothing to do with what I asked.
