Topic: I'm actually glad that I grew up without an Internet connection.

I was creative as fuck, on the computer and off, back when I was a kid. Maybe I would have made really cool things with modern hardware and an Internet connection, but more likely than not I would have turned into yet another drooling MySpace/Retardchan emo fucktard.

I had to figure everything out on my own, and while this stopped me from doing tons of things, I dream back to that time and how I sat for hours working off-line, by myself, and how insanely creative I was. Perhaps the utter lack of self-criticism was what made me get so much work done.

I don't think that I will ever get that mad, wonderful mindset back, but I hope that such will be the case. Looking back at all the projects that I had and finished, I can barely believe that those memories are true…

a the fuck men, bro.

I was a writing fiend before I got Xbox Live.

I am a sohpomore at college and haven't read a book since fall of my senior year in high school, if you don't count Deathly Hallows.

I don't know about this. I grew up with a computer AND the Internet. I've been attached to them since I was around nine years old. I probably would have ended up a dry, unintelligent, non-denominational Christian (the family line.) Instead, I'm creative, mostly intelligent, and have skills necessary to putting food (and a lot of it) on my table. I also have my questionable, but great, sense of humor thanks to the information highway. I guess I always just saw Myspace and such as a stupid waste of time. ;3

I read more than I spend time on the computer, and I spend time on the computer less than I spend shitting in one day.

If I didn't grow up in the age of computers, I probably would have furthered my interest in art. But my literary creativity would have taken a large hit; it's influenced by the internet a lot.

> the internet

Which one? Also, I bet it sucks if it's influenced in any way by this global network of retards.

The internet retains itself as a global medium of information. It isn't just the limited band of sites you lurk.

Which internet are you talking about? The Internet?
