"According to Strand — who has been sponsored by the government to undertake his research — black Caribbean pupils are being subjected to institutional racism in English schools which can dramatically undermine their chances of academic success."

I guess Black people fail no matter where they are, it's not just here in America, huh?

I don't think it's right to blame the dog for shitting on the carpet. I think it's better to blame the White people who made that carpet, and the White people who installed that carpet. Dammit, if it wasn't for that fucking racist carpet, this wonderful dog wouldn't be shitting on it in the first place!

Since Blacks consistently perform poorly in education, perhaps it's time for us to simply do away with education all together?

It's actually all my fault, sorry.

I go to each black child's house when they're trying to study and play Wagner operas at maximum volume, then sing along.

"Strand — and by implication, the government’s — anti-white mania is revealed when his March 2008 study on why certain groups of white boys perform poorly at school is reviewed. In that study, Strand claimed that “white working-class pupils make worse progress at secondary school than any other group because their parents have the lowest aspirations.”

Note that the white community gets the blame here — because it is perfectly alright and “politically correct” to blame whites for their own problems. Yet, as soon as a non-white community is involved, it is never their problem, but always white people’s fault."

What's more depressing is that so many people out there are so brainwashed with political correctness bullshit that they unquestioningly believe things like this.

Apparently, according to some research I've read, a student will learn better if their teacher thinks they're smart. Probably because they pay more attention to those students, or at least subconsciously encourage them to excel. Meanwhile, if the teacher's first impression is that a student is not smart - a decision which can based on appearance, family background, rumours, or pretty much anything, really - then that student is less likely to succeed in their class, regardless of how smart they might be in other classes.

Assuming that this is true, if you have a teacher who thinks that black people are stupid, the teacher will subconsciously look down on them, and they won't succeed. It doesn't have to be institutional racism or anything; widespread individual biases would be enough.

By the way, eurofag here, so this study isn't actually about black people, but other people with learning difficulties.

@57,767

But where does it all stem from? Were university educated teachers always and originally biased against certain children? Or did certain children show themselves to be consistently incompetent, leading to bias by the teachers? If we were to only allow educated blacks to teach inner city black children, will the result be different?

There is a theory called the labeling theory. When kids are labeled dumb or whatever, people will reinforce it even if it isn't true.

A christ hole once said to me, "This dumbass is quoting from a science textbook rather than the bible. Great place to get unbiased information dumbass." Yes, being amongst theists, I was thoroughly laughed at. However, the truth remains the truth no matter where you source it from.

Since it is clearly impossible to educate everyone equally, in the name of fairness and equality, I say that we simply do away with education all together. Those who are drawn to learning will learn on their own. Those who are not, need not feel bad for doing poorly in school — a place where they do not wish to be!
