http://www.getpaint.net/

Try to download that software. They attempt to make you click away on their disgusting ads many times before you actually get to the binary.

While the software is free, this angers and disgusts me greatly for some reason. It's as if they are trying to make me leave to some other site instead of actually getting the software. Why? Does the software only exist as an excuse to make me click their fucking ads?

It gives a very unserious impression to me. As if they made a mistake making the software free and that they really want to charge for it.

1. If it's not your first day on the Internet, you really shouldn't be seeing any ads. They are very easy to block.
2. Paint.net is a pretty complex piece of software; it has been in development for years and probably took hundreds of hours to code. I see nothing wrong with trying to cover hosting fees.

Are you fucking retarded? Talk about missing the entire point.

What the fuck are you talking about? The direct link to the zip file is right there on the second page!

Do you even buy software? Or do you think everything, software, bandwidth, and everything else, should be handed to you free of charge?

That's funny, because a minimum of three clicks is required. All pages have ads on them.

Stop making shit up.

I found it very easy to download the software… How can you be "disgusted" by that site?

How can you be disgusted by that? They are giving you something they made. The ads usually only cover the hosting expenses. You can't demand that they pay for giving away their work for free.

And even if they make money off the ads: They're still giving it to you for free. They get money, you get a piece of software and don't have to pay for it. As for the ads, it's not like it has to be re-downloaded daily. Come on.

Ads support these people that spend a lot of effort and time building this software. I see it as entirely acceptable. The world is NOT free.

Then maybe they should actually charge for their software instead of this bullshit.

I think your barking at nothing. What's wrong with one way over another? No one is forcing you to use this software. I prefer this method.

That is probably the stupidest thing I've heard today. Do you go into apoplectic fits of rage upon seeing advertisements or do you just have too much money?

Probably the most funny thing I have read today. Maybe he has an undocumented phobia of advertising. I could see it.
