Now there is one thing I realized when watching a match between Bret Hart and one Davey Boy Smith. Wrestling has officially died. Look at it in the past. Everyone believed it to be real and there was only skepticism that it was fake. Now everyone basically knows it is fake. Why did wrestling die this why? This is for all of the wrestling fans who browse here.

People seriously thought wrestling was real back then? It's just bunch of roid-monkeys feeling each other for odd couple of hours. What else could you do to spice it up? I mean the stories are lame. I stopped watching it when they tried to make it into a drama.

I'm fairly certain only children and idiots thought it was/might be real.

wrestling died because of the increasing popularity of MMA things like the UFC, where they actually beat the shit out of each other.

It's 2-4 homos in speedos wrestling and pretending to injure each other with foam chairs.

@58,268Not funny, not clever, not insightful, just abusive. It's great that you feel strong, but try to act with understanding instead of careless superiority.

Basically promotions that have, "gay gimmicks" such as a fucking drag queen and someone who stick their fingers up people's asses. Only live up to the, "wrestling is gay" stereotype right? Because there is a god damn Indy promotion up where I live that does this, and it's pissing me off. This is due to the fact that the owner of the company is gay himself. It would have been better if the promotion focused more of kids and family, instead of fucking, "gayness." One of the wrestlers/managers has a named called, "Lolipop." I mean what the fuck?
Anyways, wrestling used to be so popular that people who went to a wrestling match would cheer even for the slightest move. It was like going to a basketball or football game back then, now it's basically like going to the movies. How the hell did this happen? I watched the Bret Hart and British Bulldog match at SummerSlam, in the arena of Wimbley Stadium. The stadium was filled to capacity and the crowd was electrified. Why can't wrestling be like this today?
It seems like when the Attitude era and ECW came, things started to die. Then TNA came to just completely finish off wrestling for good, by revealing secrets of the business that never should be revealed in the first place.
