Why do you get a sudden craving for something? Like chocolate, any other kind of sweets or even sex. What makes the body think "GIVE ME GIVE ME GIVE ME"?

It's too difficult to explain to you WHY, but know that we must always be desiring something, our desire must always be fixed upon something. This is why satisfying it, whilst it might provide temporary relief, does nothing in the long run.

For the same reason you get thirsty, yawn, or feel hunger. Your body is running low(or lower than usual) on some chemical or protein, and is letting you know. E.g.- A person who eats chocolate more often, will have more cravings for chocolate than someone who does not.

An alternative is that "something" in your body is preparing to produce something which it usually does not, and needs raw materials that your bodt konws from experience can be found in certain foods. Sexual desire on the other hand is caused by your body seeking to complete its primary objective (from an evolutionary biology perspective): reproduction.
