Well, maybe they are not cute to you, but to me they are. They are so tiny and fragile and squirmy, and when they laugh or smile it is the cutest thing. And when they grip your finger or hair in their little fist it is too cute for words.
And I'm not much of a fan of toddlers, especially 2-year-olds, what with their sticky hands and screaming and dirtiness.

It's a natural evolutionarily developed response so that the younger members of our population, who can't care for themselves, are adequately protected and have their needs tended to. If babies didn't survive past their infant stage, the entire human race would die out. Thus, our psychological mechanisms assure that we will properly care for them.

I'm taking a guess, albeit maybe a wrong one, that you are a pedophile. If so, maybe you're confusing sexual attraction (to toddlers and above, which you don't feel toward babies) with traditional cuteness. I've seen pedophiles describe babies as "disgusting" sexually before, which is why I'm asking.

I used to say I hated babies and kids also, however now my views have completely changed. Babies are just so tiny and their goofy little smiles melt my heart. I have to volunteer for school and I read to three year olds and they have changed my outlook on children. Not only are they adorable (they are like little people!) but hilarious, also. Seriously everything they say has me cracking up.
