Topic: Why do a lot of jailbaits put relationship phrases in their MSN names/PMs?

Well, I have quite a few jailbaits on my contact list, and they all seem to have "I love youu" (why do they insist on using two of the same letter at least once?) or "i luv all the stuf u do". Now, I've talked with these people plenty of times, and they don't have boyfriends. Is this just to make the dudes they're teasing think they're the ones they're talking about, or is this some odd habit they have to keep their peers from making fun of their lack of a partner?

That's weird. Maybe they mean their friends. I would say I love my friends if people didn't make fun of me for being gay for saying it, haha. Also, maybe it's song lyrics. I know a lot of teens stick song lyrics or other quotes in their WLM names and personal messages.

Yes, I know that. But these messages are literally so generic that if they're just taking song lyrics, they aren't even taking ones that are all that special. "I love youu" is literally in what, over 20,000 songs at least? Besides, a few even have "He" or "Him" in the phrase. Once again, these jailbaits have NO boyfriends, though it's not unreasonable to believe they flirt with many, many people.

They do it to fit in with their female peers, who all want to look like they have male interest. The problem can be fixed by not having irritating 16 year olds on your msn.

This still leaves one thing unanswered. Why do they randomly throw in TWO of the same letter in words? Not three to make it look like they're drawing out the word. But "showerr" so it looks like a typo. It confuses me why you'd even want to do this…

Coming from a teenager myself, it's just something done - i.e.: they like someone who doesn't know, be it male/female etc.

A much better question would be: Why do you, an adult, have these "jailbaits" on your MSN to begin with? :\

It's not that unusual. What's "jailbait" in one country is adult in another. It's not that unusual for 16 year old girls to talk to people in their early 20's.

Also being a teenager myself, I notice that a lot of girls tend to prefer guys a few years older than them, and it's certainly not unusual for 14-15 year olds in their first year in high school to be dating seniors, or older. It's kinda strange, really, I never understood it.

They could like someone but not actually be in a relationship with them?

Even taking into account that they MIGHT like someone and just not be dating them, am I the only one who finds it fucking creepy to have someone who isnt actually in a relationship with you (but has a crush) putting "I love youuuuuu" in their screen name/PM?

@66,541

Not creepy per se, just a bit naive
Young teenage girls often think they are in love when they're not.

Being a young retard myself, I admit to putting two or more of the same letter on, i.e. "how are youuuu". I think the reason most young people do it is to show how bored and or lazy they are, basically demonstrating our lacadasical (spelling?) approach to everything.
