Some jailbait claims that she has drunk 80% vodka. I thought 40% was normal and 50% was some illegal Russian shit or something. 80% sounds insane…
Even 40% burned my throat… felt like poison.

Maybe she meant 80-proof, which is 40%.

"80-proof"?
Also, there cannot be more than 100% alcohol… or of anything.

I know there are some beverages which are 60-80 percent (somewhere in that range iirc) but I don't think they are vodka.

Although I haven't seen it, there shouldn't be any problems with producing 80% vodka. It is possible to distill alcohol to 97% with it still being drinkable, so 80% shouldn't be a problem. I have tried several different kinds of Absinthe, one of which were 85% and although it burns a bit it can still be drunk.

Boy, there sure seems to be a lot of people who know very little about alcohol here. Little wonder why people get so damn drunk.
Vodka can be found to be 80% alcohol and higher, but in the US very little of it if any will be found commercially. Typically here, vodka runs 40% alcohol. As that is a standard, and maybe because there are so many to chose from, having a higher alcohol-content vodka is a bit pointless. It would be more expensive to refine/distill to that point, and the heavier the proof the less room there is for any flavor. When an alcohol such as rum, vodka, whiskey, or specifically, Everclear, is distilled to 160 or more proof, they start to lose their individual identities and simply taste like grain alcohol.

@66,822No its rum….
Also everclear is a vodka and that is almost pure alchole, 95% I think.

@67,216Everclear is not vodka, it is a neutral grain spirit. If anything, it would be closer to whiskey since it appears to be distilled from corn (as is shown on the front of the bottle). Corn is used to make whiskey, while potatoes are used to make vodka.
