How many female anons are there currently?
People always assume I am male, girls do sometimes use the internet :)

It's just better to assume that they are until proven otherwise. You don't want to make a friend then when you see them you are scarred for life and request to be locked in a mental institution because you firmly believe that they will eat your soul and you will never be free from their ugly clutches.

See? Its stuff like this that makes us want to disbelieve. What is "moderately attractive" No one in a healthy state of mind finds themselves ugly.

If you were really truly unattractive, I don't think you'd be able to convince yourself otherwise.

I'm a female anon. I think of myself as pretty but not beautiful. I'm off the market anyway so it hardly matters! And I very, very rarely reveal my gender in my posts, it is just not relevent most of the time and always leads to people being inappropriate.

Are you serious? I am pretty sure most people know how good-looking they are, or are not. It doesn't put them in an unhealthy state of mind, they are just not deluded! What a stupid thing to say. If anything, thinking yourself handsome when you are hideous would be more a sign of delusion and "unhealthy status of mind" than the other way around.

Female here. Looks-wise, I'm pretty average; I don't stand out from the crowd for one reason or the other. There are parts of me that I like, and parts that I dislike - just like everyone else, really.

Horny librarian dorky sounds hot. I have this vision of you wearing glasses and dressing dorky with a load of books and a hunched look. And then you drop the books and I help you up, suddenly your hair clip breaks lose and your glasses fall off… Oh shit, I think I'm going to explore this a bit more. Perhaps as a Librarian type, you could write a good story along those lines and post it.

> I don't believe anyone who claims himself a woman on the Internet.

That was a beautiful sentence, anon. Really, Winston Churchill couldn't have said it better, were he alive to have seen the Internet. I've been chuckling over it for a few minutes.

Seriously, though, I doubt that anyone of us would be surprised by the proportion of females here. I suspect that it is quite small — I would be shocked if females made up even a tenth of the population here.

With respect to the statements about, "That's why women would want to conceal their identity [because of anons making sexual innuendo, like the librarian]," I just don't fucking get it. Why would that matter on an anonymous board? How in the world could that make you feel uncomfortable, or whatever? People tend to say what they mean here, anyway — if you can't tolerate a little honest misogyny, then reading anontalk would probably give you an aneurysm. Plus, if it remains anontalk, then that aspect is never going to go away. What is the big deal?

I honestly thought the whole point of Anontalk was that we NOT identify ourselves in any way, so rather than being a personality, we could just put up ideas. Even when looking for a specific gender/race viewpoint, there was not a need to tell anyone anything. People just ID themselves out of habit.

i met a hot girl anon via anonidate.

we had sex. i got a crush on her. i was used.

we still talk and it's ungodly frustrating for me. the girl is the biggest flake i've ever met. i don't think it was even worth the sex, cuz i'm stuck with a crush on her that's not reciprocated.

she's also the strangest girl i can recall knowing. not interested in any of the things ordinary people are interested in, and i think she gets horny about twice a year. lucky me, eh?
