I just recently learned of this site from places I only assume I'm not allowed to mention (as the FAQ describes). To be honest, I thought this place was some kind of trick at first or something, as I didn't exactly trust the name (nor the site I was directed from). But now, after giving it a good look over for the last few minutes or so, I clearly see the advantages of being a "regular" at this site. This is possibly the only escape I can rely on now for some things I could never get off my chest. Thank you, O creator of this sacred vessel.
I may show up every now and then to tell stories of my past, to see if any may be able to explain my situations for me, as I do not quite understand myself as much as other people do. Not to be an emo or anything: I'm just one of those individuals that seems to live…quite an unique lifestyle, one that does not hold any answers in store on how to fix and remedy things by one's self. As much as I enjoy life, there are just some things that I find disgusting in myself (as anyone else might say about their own self), but I would never stoop so low to leaving unnecessary scars on my body.
But more to the point - I hope this site will help clear some thoughts that I haven't been able to figure out on my own. If this is all what it cracks up to be - then, thank you. Thank you all, in advance.
However, I must admit: there are other questions that I would like to ask besides those about my own life. Questions in general, about life, literary, and even perhaps those that have never been asked before. Because I'm a curious and a naive kind of guy, and I like to know as much as possible, for fear of being left out of the loop on most topics and being called out for not having a lick of common sense. (I've had that happen to me a couple times already, and it does not help one bit, let me tell you.)
So please: if there is anything that I should know about asking questions or posting replies that I may have overlooked in the FAQ, tell me now before I get myself banned out of being a curious (and rather detailed) individual.
Besides the point, good evening, everyone. I hope to hear from you all soon.

I cannot imagine that you will manage to get banned. You seem to be one of the intelligent ones.

@66,990As rare as they come, I don't consider myself to be one. I may have some smarts, sure: but take in mind that I've been called out for not having 'common sense,' which in my opinion is far greater in importance than any sort of intellect available on this earth.
Thank you for the nice words, though.
…
Now, something relatively off topic, but I would like to ask anyway: how does this board work, textually? Can you italicize and such? Or is that put to use by the 'quotation marks' and so on? I like to italicize whenever possible (it helps me get some points across), and CAPITALIZATION just seems to ruin it for me. Unless it's out of humor. But if I must alter my ways to this board, then that is completely fine. Just wanting to know, that's all.
Along with that, what about emoticons and such? :D and D: - you get the point. Can they exist, or no?

@66,992> Can you italicize and such?Maybe I was wrong about you… :-/

@66,994And that's what it's like for me. Sometimes asking questions gets me into trouble (or at least a strange look), and I know it might happen, but I ask anyway.

Post as many topics as you like, on any subject. Since you can write intelligently I doubt you will be banned - you're more likely to get a private message from Sysop if you are out of line.
Meanwhile, the markup for emphasis is written below the text entry box.
Welcome & have fun :)

@66,994Quick update, I actually just realized how it works. I misread the bottom of the text board that explains how to do so. I thought it was one apostrophe mark on both ends, not
two. So I got that all figured out, sorry.
Anyway, see you all around.
