"Hanging in the mall" seems to be a huge part of most teenagers' lives in the USA. Is this really the case? You hang around inside a big building full of stores? o_O

In California (where I'm from)it is, but it doesn't seem to be here in Maryland(where I live now).

Malls are quite common in urban areas as well as suburban areas. There aren't many in the country for obvious reasons. Basically, the more people you have in an area, the more malls you have.

It's not a mall, but there's a Fred Meyers grocery store right near my school. there's a deli there and table's to sit at, so for a few people at least, it's a nice place to hang out and talk bullshit to each other.

I don't know about actual, official malls though. They always seemed too busy and full of people to have fun in by hanging out.

Yes, malls are very common in the USA. This fucking country is a 3000-mile long line of shopping districts.

It's very common in well-populated places, as in suburban and urban areas. I live in Northern San Diego in California (with Downtown San Diego only an hour away) and I can name probably five different malls within a 20 mile radius of my house.

I can think of 4 different malls within a 20 minute drive. The suburban malls are the best. No blacks, and a very high ratio of gorgeous teen girls to very few obnoxious teenage male wiggers and douchebags. Spoiled little suburban teens cream themselves over college guys with a job and a car. Aside from being young and attractive, they're not so different from prostitutes. You buy them something worth maybe $30-$60 and they'll fuck your brains out.

In Montreal it is a VERY common thing. During Friday nights, everyone is in shopping malls and shopping districts.
