What would you do with your newly acquired money?

I think I would be more frugal then others but maybe not, which is one reason why I'd like to see your response.

I would buy myself a car, as I do not have one now and I'd build a new computer from scratch.

My family has a house that doesn't really suit their needs right now, so I'd buy a new house to accommodate them more adequately. It wouldn't be a mansion, but it'd be better then what they've got now. Their current home is ~100+ years old, and its too big / doesn't have a basement / doesn't have decent heating or cooling ducts. The house is ~$185,000 on today's market (We live in the US, midwest) so I would spend ~300,000 at most for a new home. I have three younger siblings, and I'd simply ask what they desire. I think they deserve it, my siblings work hard at school (Unlike myself, who totally blew off high school) and don't receive many material objects now. For instance, my younger sister is just starting drivers ed, so a car might be something I'd give her. She's also asked for a cell phone for a while. My parents don't have the money to pay for one, and she works too hard at school to get a job.

Despite spending ~$360,000, I think that it is less then what most would spend. My wants are minimal and I'm glad that I turned out that way.

What would you guys/gals do? Money is no object!

I'm pretty happy with my current financial solution. I have a nice place to life, a good car and my family is doing well. Most likely I'd just save it

I would buy an island where I could set up an underground lair with henchmen and robot minions and plot to take over the world!!! Also note to self shoot James Bond in the head, do not leave him in easily escapable overly intricate deathtraps unattended.

Depends…

If i won $1,000,000
Then Id bank all of it except $100,000. Then I would use that $100,000 like crazy and have no regrets….enjoy my win
Then leave the $900,000 in my bank till ive thought it through very wisely on how to spend it, when to spend it, where to spend it, and who to spend it on.

Thats the best advice i can give you…set a percentage to celebrate your win

If I had the money I'd start by first off clearing any of mine or my family's or boyfriend's debts, then I'd buy myself/boyfriend and my parents each a house not anything fancy like a mansion just suitable to our needs and buy myself a car also suitable to my needs and replace my parents car that's getting a bit worse for ware and possibly even buy my younger sister her first car, I'd also probably give my boyfriend the money to go out and pick out a car he'd like (he's been out of school for year's and doesn't have a car or a car driver's license yet, has a motorbike), probably pay for some driving lessons with the instructor in our town so that I would be game enough to go for my full license.

Also I'd just buy general things I would like if I had the money like a new saddle and rug and stuff for my horse, a motorbike helmet and even a motorbike of my own and probably pay some kind of professional instructor to teach me how to ride, a block of land for my horse possibly so I wouldn't have to pay agistment fees, maybe even another horse more suitable to my needs, just a few material things like new clothes not crazy $600 brand name shoes and tops or anything just some a few $15-$40 each tops and PJ sets and lingerie sets and other clothing items I've seen in the local shops that I've liked/wanted but have never had the money for. And also probably a couple of nice $100-$400 formal dresses from the local formal shop.

Any leftovers would go into a bank account to pay for futurecosts such as college funds and funerals and weddings and backup money etc.
And if I had enough once I'd got all that stuff and put away some in the bank for college funds etc to accumualte interest also then I'd would donate some to some local community groups and charities.
