If the mill owners thought it was such a horrible idea to market the revolutionary product (which it obviously would be, for their business), why did the one businessman give him the resources he needed to research and develop the new material? He got convinced after hearing what it was, but shouldn't he immediately have realized how bad it would be for his industry?
