Topic: When does the US election finish? I'm not in the US and even I'm sick of it.

I made a half-arsed attempt to find out, but there's so much confusing bullshit about primaries, delegates, super delegates and so forth.

When the fuck is this shit really, truly over? When will George W. Monkeytits be kicked out, and when can I turn on the TV without hearing about Obama vs. McCain, and how Palin is this or that?

It's designed to drive you mad. There is no escape, but it will likely be over on Jan. 20 when our new corporate master gets sworn in.

The election is always the first Tuesday in November. As long as nothing goes wrong and there is no tie, that is when everything will be over. If something does go wrong or the election is extremely close, they have until February to get shit together. "Going wrong" includes cheating or voting machines breaking, or legal technical issues about who is allowed to vote.

Jesus H. Christ, almost four more months? How Obama or McCain could stand to do it this long screws me. When they finally get sworn in, do they take a holiday? I bet the night after, they fall into bed and say "thank fuck it's over, now comes the easy part". Sheesh.

I barely watch 30 minutes of TV a day and I read part of one newspaper…. soooo sick of it.

Ah ok, I misunderstood. Thank Jeebus for that.

I'm sick of it too, glad to hear the end is in sight. Watching Jon Stewart right now and he's all over it, which is good for Americans but holy fuck, enough is enough.

Speaking of Jon Stewart, Michelle Obama is on right now.

It's actually the Tuesday after the first Monday in November.

I actually can't get enough of it, I'm kind of obsessed with the whole thing, and I'm not american either.

I watch every debate and read all of the news religiously. Actually this election has turned my mid from wanting to be a programmer to a journalist.
