Nope, I'm like that too. When it's looking at me without being in use I have the feeling that someone is still looking at me.

My webcam is permanently centered on me (due to it being at the top of my laptop). Luckily, a bright green light shines whenever the webcam is activated so I would know if someone was looking in. Sometimes I just stick a Post-It over the camera.

I thought I was paranoid in doing it but yes even when my web cam is off I feel like I'm being watched and turn it away or cover it, my boyfriend's noticed it when he was over a couple of times when I've had a bit of paper covering it or something and given me a weird look and taken it away, which just makes me feel really silly.

As an LED indicates its status there is no need for me to be paranoid. Otherwise I probably would be :D

Ha your sense of security is based on a led status light? That's flawed.

Depends on whether the LED is controlled individually or hooked up to the power line of the image sensor or other crucial part of the camera.
