I joined a facebook group and want to upload pictures to it
But i don't want the rest of my friends list seeing the pictures…only the people from that group
Ive noticed my friends have started commenting on the picture already, does anyone know how to do this?

With your existing accout, forget it, it's not possible as Facebook makes everything public. Only way would be to use a separate account with a fake alias and post the pictures that way - your friends will only see them by chance that way.

It depends on what kind of group it is. If it is a 'secret' or 'closed' group, meaning that only members may access the group page, you can upload pictures TO THE GROUP and only people there will see them.
Descriptions:
This group is open.
Anyone can join and invite others to join. Anyone can see the group information and content.
This group is closed.
Admins must approve requests for new members to join. Anyone can see the group description, but only members can see the Wall, discussion board, and photos.
This group is secret.
The group will not appear in search results or in the profiles of its members. Membership is by invitation only, and only members can see the group information and content.
You can easily see if it is open, closed or secret by going to the group page. If it is closed or secret, then you can upload photos to the group, and only people in the group can see them. THIS ONLY WORKS IF THE ADMIN ALLOWS PICTURES. Admin can decide not to allow members to post pictures, and if they made it this way, you cannot post pictures.
Anyway, let's assume that your group is closed or secret, and allows members to post pictures. To do this, go to the group page, and scroll to the photos tab. Click 'Add Photos' on the right side of the title bar of it. Then go to the 'Upload Photos' tab at the top of the next screen. Browse your computer for up to 5 photos in the 5 slots, check the box below to indicate that your pictures are allowed on FB, and hit the Upload Photos button. The photos will take some time to upload, and then they will be in the group Photo area.
Hope this helps.

Or you can always do what some people do, namely have a very boring facebook profile: one picture, no wall, no friend listing. Some people use this to enforce an absurd level of privacy, making it difficult for other people to get to know them more and share friends. You could also set a limited profile so that some of your friends can only see certain things about you, thus enforcing the ultimate boredom only on a few unlucky individuals. Generally speaking, this is the type of individual who wants to know what everybody else is doing but doesn't want to share anything about him or herself.

If you want private photo sharing just make a personal, private album, and add other people to it. I've done this with my porn stash, just give your friends access.
