I don't care what I have to do, how hard it is, how much I have to learn, I want people to remember me in 100 years and go "holy shit, that guy was fucking something else". The thing is, do I go with being famous or do I go with being infamous? Be the man who kidnaps the president and kills him and leaks the video around the world, or be the man who through self sacrifice saves millions of people and it all gets recorded on video? Which do you think would last for longer in the public's eye?

Doing a crime is much easier than doing something right.
People are also more likley to noticed your crime than your act of generosity.
But it has to be unique.

@68,836I'm smart, rather clever actually. And when it comes to this, well, I'm very driven to being remembered. I don't believe in religion, never feel much guilt about anything, have urges to do horrible things all the time and am desperate to not be forgotten when I die and totally cease to exist. I have formal training with things like the security of buildings and computers systems and also know how to handle explosives and all things like that. If the FBI is reading this, don't find me and knock down my door, this is all just hypothetical as someone could come along and suggest a way to be remember for good.

Hell yes I can remotely detonate explosives. I like to rig them to the vibrate motor on mobile phones and then call them or send them an SMS to detonate the explosive. You can set most phones these days to like, only vibrate if a certain contact calls and not for when telemarketers and shit randomly dial your number (or however they keep getting my secret numbers). I suppose I could try and do something against a religion, but I'd rather take out Scientology… maybe both? I would have to ensure that I get enough coverage, and that my name gets spread far enough. Perhaps make a video documentary of the whole thing and put that on the net when it's done? How could I get maximum news time, keep them talking about me the longest?

Killing the president of the usa is going to get you into pretty much every history book in the country. It's just kinda hard to pull off and if McCain gets elected, everybody will assume he dropped dead of old age anyway.
