future or any time in the past, and STAY THERE, what would you choose?

If the future is better, of course I would travel to there. I wouldn't travel to the past, since it was mostly way shittier than our current time IMO.

@69,011> If the future is betterWhat the fuck do you mean by "better"?
> I wouldn't travel to the past, since it was mostly way shittier than our current time IMO.You are horribly wrong.

Unless I had good information about the future, I would not go there. If it's anything similar to our current selection of science fiction, I'd gladly travel to the future. Probably some time near the end of humanity's effort to colonize other star systems and such. Would also need to require faster than light travel.
As for the past, probably sometime around ancient Greece or even the height of the Roman Empire. I would use my knowledge to quickly climb the social structure and live a happy and simple life. I would introduce the concept of the steam engine, materials science and engineering, and printing press. Firearms are a definite no.

I would go back to around 1950 or so, solely so I could hunt down and rape Audrey Hepburn back when she was hot. After, invest in IBM.

The late 90's so I can synchronize with most of the people in my family. My brother and nearly all of my cousins are ten years older than I am, which will claw at me for the rest of my life.
Also, I'd like to properly grow up with the old Nintendo. And spend more time with said brother and cousins.
Among other extremely valued reasons of why it'd be a good idea is school would definitely be a lot fucking easier. Before at that time you didn't need to pass a required state-wide exam every year, and the points needed to advance a grade was about 50 points lower… and you know, gas would be lower, etc. etc…

I would go back in time with a sports almanac like Marty McFly and make a small fortune. Then i'd kill Bill Gates before he stole DOS and do the future a favour.

I'd go back to the late 60's and copyright every popular song to date. Paint it black, Stairway to heaven, I wrote them.
