Nah, saying "question" before asking the question is just another way of saying "I have a question" before asking the question. No one knows why people say it instead of just asking and getting to the point, but I bet it's more mannerly than nerdy.

I do it too. Mostly because I purposly talk weird (lolcat, moron, etc). Saying 'Question' before a question just adds to it… Kinda
