I'm planing on buying one of these at the end of the year when they are at their cheapest on boxing day. The thing is, which one should I buy? I have my eyes set on an Eee PC 100H with:
160GB HDD
1.6 GHz processor
2GB ram
Bluetooth/Wireless
And running a custom stripped down Windows XP installation (Don't tell me to use Linux, I have for quite a while but still prefer XP)

Battery life is not a problem for me as I will be buying a second battery for it anyway, do you think this is worth the $500 → $650 AUS it will drop to after Christmas? If not, suggest a better option and try to convince me to go for that.

Also, I want to be able to send and receive SMS with this thing. What do you guys know about gsm/gprs modems and texting software?
