It's not that it's that big, or hard (most of the time)… it's just that I constantly have to re-arrange it (which looks awkward) because it feels uncomfortable and "noticeable". Very annoying feeling, but it doesn't always happen…
Possibly this only happens (but I am not sure) when I have worn the same pair of boxer shorts (underpants) for longer than 24 hours. Does that make sense? They become more "sloppy" and don't press down the penis as well after wearing them for a while, compared to when they are "fresh"? Or maybe it's just the model of boxer shorts that vary.
Do you also have this feeling?

I know what you mean, man. You get this feeling that it is sticking out, noticeably, and even though you look down, and can see that it isn't, it still feels that way, and you just HAVE to correct it. Which is awkward to do in public.
I don't think it is your boxer shorts. I wear briefs, and I have the same problem. I think it is just caused by the penis being in an awkward position (bent over by the pants) and it feels like there is more pressure on it, which would normally mean that it is sticking out.
Not really sure though.

Perhaps try experimenting with other types of underwear?
Boxer briefs are always comfortable for me.

Steve McQueen wore boxer briefs and he never had that problem as far as I know. If it's good enough for Steve, it's good enough for me.
