Laws, general opinion… whatever. Which country is the best one to live in if you are a pedophile? France?

France's age of consent is 15, at least on paper. For completely unrelated reasons I was planning to spend most of my life in France, but in case anyone knows, what is the social reaction to something like a 25 year old man hooking up with a 15 year old girl?

As far as federal law goes, there are a handful of countries where the legal age of consent is as low as 12. In Thailand, where the motto is "Prostitution is as prostitution does," the federal age is 15. In Japan, you can "rescue" a schoolgirl for $100 a fuck so she can buy an expensive new phone and it's legal as young as 13. In Mexico, where apparently the national aphorism is, "If there's a field, play ball," the age is 12. It's local, provincial, and state laws that will fuck you over. Federal laws do not void state laws unless you've got your shit really worked out in advance.
This might put some things in perspective:

It's the phrase the Japanese coined to describe girls who pretend to be from impoverished families and get "rescued" from their despair by a wealthy gentlemen who exchanges gifts/money for sex.

Above poster again. One other thing, there are dozens of adds for them posted up inside phone booths, especially in the Roppongi area of Tokyo.

@69,536Haha this anon is speaking the truth
When I went on holidays to Tokyo there were literally ads posted everywhere for children exchanging gifts for 'anything'
I didn't believe it at first, but after i scooped up my first boy..I prolonged my stay in Tokyo for another 3 months.
I loved every second of it, best holiday ever.

This is why people need to keep a closer eye on the witch hu—sex offender laws.
The United States (assuming you are from there, I apologize if this is presumptuous or incorrect) passed laws making it illegal to violate the laws of the United States as a US citizen—even if you committed these acts in another, legal in that country jurisdiction—you are still to consider yourself bound by the laws of the US.
If anyone finds out you broke AOC laws, even if it was perfectly legal and consensual in that other country, you're fucked OP. Not even renouncing citizenship may be enough to prevent your extradition. I really hope you did not go by your real name or keep any souvenirs!

@69,558Since you seem to know, does this apply if you give up your U.S. citizenship and become a full citizen of that country?

@69,577Depends on how badly they want you and whether or not you're in the right country. And even renouncing citizenship isn't as easy as it sounds, you still need to pay a bunch of taxes afterward most of the time.

It's legal to own CP in Bosnia, or in other countries if you're a Bosnian citizen.
