I didn't know this at all. Seriously. This kind of explains why USAians hate Canadian people so much… Since they hate France. (Don't know why that is the case, though.)

Does Canada have like double food menus and signs and instructions in both English and French or something?

Pretty much everybody in Quebec speaks French, but they have to have all signs in English and French so as not to alienate the Anglo-Canadians. There is a casual feud between the French-Canadians and the Anglo-Canadians, and there are French-Canadians who would like Quebec to be a separate country.

Its true and I would definitely say that America doesn't hate them as much as most other countries like England.

I wouldn't say "large parts of Canada". Only Quebec and then other random towns here and there.

I fucking hate the Quebecois. I really hate having to look at French when I'm eating my cereal and shit. And yet in Quebec they don't have English signs. Fuckers.

I live in Montreal. Here it's about 50/50 French/English. However, even the native French speakers speak English.

A lot of english Canadians hate the french Canadians because they see them as whiny ignorant fucks…a lot of french canadians hate english canadians because they see them as self-centered arrogant fucks. These are stereotypes created mostly because the french are struggling to hold on to their culture and the english vastly dominate the country.

Then there are the french separatists who believe that Quebec should be it's own country but fail to realize that they would become a 3rd world dump since nobody would want anything to do with them and they couldn't sustain themselves.

I fucking hate whiny french separatists…the true french (France) looks down upon Quebec french since it's a version of language and culture closer to english
