My friend has a bobcat problem, they keep killing there farm animals, but bobcats do a lot of hunting at night and i don't want to wake up the neighbors so my solution is a silencer, i would like to get a legit one, if not im going to make one

You know how to make one? They aren't terribly complicated, and if silencers are harder to find or expensive, then that's even more reason to make one.

If accuracy isn't a huge concern throw an empty coke can over the barrel… still loud, but a little quieter. Have a friend in Colorado who does this.

I suggest you just make one.

1. Get two tubes of PVC, one bigger than the other.
2. The smaller one needs to be able to fit over the rifle barrel and allow the bullet to travel through.
3. Drill a series of holes up and down the smaller tube.
4. Put the big tube over the little tube, then stuff the space in between with cotton balls.
5. Find a way to seal the space in between the two tubes together. You can usually find PVC adapters to do this.

Conceptually, it will be like an elongated doughnut with a cotton ball filling. Holes will line the inside surface of the doughnut. You could also think of it as a really, really wide car tire. I don't quite understand the mechanics of this suppressor, but it seems to make sense. A portion of the sound from the firing rifle will be absorbed into the cotton balls through the holes.
