A while back I remember the site Anonidate launching and I gave it a shot. I registered and found ~6 local girls (Apex/Cary/Raleigh NC) 4 of them had email notification, so I sent them all a message suggesting getting some coffee or something similar. I figured I wouldn't get a response, and I didn't. Some people talk of success though Anonidate, but most ends in failure.
Advertisement: We punish trolls in a draconian manner. Don't be one. Seriously.

There are lots of people in my area, but I hate how I feel forced to make conversation when meeting people like that. I did send a message to one person, and he seems fun enough but I don't think I'd like pursue anything further with him. So we can label it a failure.

Girl I'm currently living with and I met on anonidate. Not every story is going to be a successful one, but keep trying and best of luck. Also, it's anonidate, don't suggest coffee right away. You'll probably have better luck saying something witty and caring on a conversation over anonidate and MSN before meeting for a coffee.

anyway as you know probably 'Retardchan' is one of the most popular sites on Earth and I know anonidate as been up for at least 1 year and has been posted on bee a decent amount. there's even a meme dealing with anonidate on the chans.

i lived in Raleigh, NC till 6 weeks ago.
I am a guy though, but sure as hell would have been nice to meet for coffee with some random stranger who knows stuff about the chans.

I met a few guys on anonidate. One of them is one of my best friends now, the other I'm dating. I would have never ended up with the guy I'm dating if I hadn't met him on there. He's so different from me, and we probably wouldn't have crossed paths or found out we had stuff in common if we hadn't met there. He's everything I didn't look for in a guy on the surface, and yet we find we have things in common. It's strange to me. And he's ashamed to tell anyone he knows in person how he actually met me.
It's probably not the best way to meet people to date, but it is a good way to meet people with common interests at least.
