They call their own country "America" and they think that "Europe" is a country…

The tip of the iceberg. They also believe they are the beacon of freedom while dictating how everybody should live.
Disclaimer: There are millions of intelligent, wonderful Americans. Unfortunately they do not represent their society as a whole.

I've never heard anyone call "Europe" a country. I am American.
However, to counter this, I once saw a nigger girl who sits next to me in a class guessed through a review test. It was labeling continents.
She put the whole of Europe and Asia as merely "Europe", Africa as Australia, Mexico where South America begins, and probably even more severe mistakes I cannot remember.
I am in the 9th grade.
But I am not making her represent the whole class. Everyone else got an A+ for grade — yes, including me.

I don't see what the big deal here is. We call our country America simply because of convention. Is this really too hard for idiots to understand? OP, you even call us Americans. Why do you think you do that? What the fuck else would we be called?

Nobody in the U.S. thinks Europe is a country. We think of Europe as a continent.

@70,613I suppose you're going to take issue with my use of "nobody". You fucking pedantic faggot.

You simply should've said "very few people" instead of "nobody." Even though I'm not a pedantic fuck, I still consider your use of "nobody" a bit over the limit.
Still, if you feel that it is somehow "inaccurate" or wrong to refer to the USA as America, you are pedantic. I mean, you even labeled your topic title "Americans are silly." By your logic, you should used something like "Citizen of the USA are silly."
