What is the best way to store a tab of acid so that it doesn't get spoiled? I can't really put it in the freezer it as I live with my parents and don't think they'd be too impressed to come across it.

The best way is to store it in a fridge or similar cold box, not necessarily a freezer.

I know that's not very helpful to you in your situation, but it should keep for three to four days at room temperature, or you could just take it now?

I kind of wanted to save it. . and I had one at the weekend and someone said I'll have built up my tolerance and won't feel anything if I don't leave it a bit?
Will it definitely not keep for longer than that? What about in an airtight container?

Just keep it in a cool, dark place, my friend's sister lost her backpack with a sheet inside in Yellowstone. A park ranger found it three months later and mailed it to her. We took a tab each and it was as strong as the day she got it.

@70,443

Did he not look in the backpack, or is he just naive?

I usually have around 300 of them and I keep them in "Film paper" (dont really know how you Americans call it, you can see it here http://www.tomarecetas.com/Imagenes/TARTA_GALLETAS_022.JPG ), if they are tightly wrapped in it, they will last as long as you need, it takes me sometime to get rid of all of them and the acid is always in perfect condition. The logic behind this is that this "plastic paper" doesn't absorb the LSD (which is a gas at room temperature), so the tab has to take it back again. As far as my knowledge of chemistry goes this checks out, but, also i've been using that method for over a year and never had a problem. If anyone can tell me how this "paper" is called in English I would appreciate it.

It's called cellophane paper.

Just great for cakes… apparently.

In the USA it's more commonly known as Saran Wrap. It would need to be airtight though, otherwise the gas will leak out.

Would tin foil in an airtight box suffice?
