Topic: I'm confused about female orgasms.

Anonymous A started this topic 9 months (2009-07-03 04:20:?? UTC) ago (#28,798):

So me being a male, I know that when a male is turned on they get an erection. How does this compare with females? How do we know when they are turned on?

Also when a male reaches climax they shoot their load, well how does this compare with females? How do we know they have reached a climax.

It's so confusing.

A product of the American sex ed system?

But in all seriousness this website will give you the basics and some extra things you might not know.

You'll probably want to start from the start.

Male and female genitalia are considered to homologous. That means they have similar functions. Just try googling Masters and Johnson. They did a lot of research into what you're asking about and a lot of other sexual research too.

Wow, just…wow. I mean I can understand your desire to know, I was once new too, but that's quite a can of worms you've opened. Now I'm assuming you're asking this because you have not yet been with a woman and thusly have no prior experience of a woman's climax or were otherwise unable to make her do so. If this is the case, my best advice to you is to find someone you know you can trust (a girl) who is old enough to respect you and have already experienced this sort of thing for herself, and talk to her. If you're lucky it might even lead to something, but that's beside the point. Ask her about things like nipples hardening, and sometimes the clitoris too. All women also get rather wet when they're aroused or engaged in sexual activity, and some even squirt (which happens to be a rather popular fetish). Also, many guys underestimate just how sensitive a woman's breasts are just because they don't get anything from theirs. Fact: many women can stimulate themselves to climax with minimal or, in rare cases, no vaginal stimulation whatsoever. And one of the greatest things about a woman's orgasm is that once they've had it, they can still keep going, where MOST men go limp after they "shoot they're load." I say most not because I am the exception, but because SO many men like to brag that they don't have to stop, which is usually bull. Other than that, be sure to ask about the G-spot. But be warned EVERYONE has something different to say about it, and some people don't even think it exists, despite the evidence. Good luck, and happy hunting.

This is not true. Although we are sometimes horny after the orgasm, our vagina becomes way too sensitive after the orgasm. We usually "hold back," or whatever, two or three orgasms then release, and then we're done. :)

OP, when a girl is horny, she becomes very wet. Nothing will physically change on her except for the wetness. Some women can "squirt," which is similar to a male orgasm, but it's a clear, non-sticky liquid. Some girls can't, however. You won't actually see the orgasm, but you'll know she's having it if she starts twitching her legs (a little) uncontrollably and her chest and face will become red.

Her eyes roll back in her head and if two lemons show up that means she had one…

The squirting thing is largely dependent on how much prostate tissue the girl has. Prostate is usually thought of as a male organ but females can have an organ similar enough that it seems to obviously be a prostate, and this may have a large impact on how much pleasure she gets from the G-spot, as it may just be the best spot for stimulating a female prostate.

It's only sort of been researched enough to start being confident about how it works so some people might get pissed off at me for saying that.

Most girls don't squirt.
Most girls make noise when the orgasm.
Most girls will twitch a little when they have an orgasm.
Most girls want to "take a break" after than have an orgasm.
