The police should not be wasting their resources harassing harmless people but instead solve REAL crimes such as murders, rapes (actual ones — not fucking bullshit ones), robberies, assaults, etc. Or how about all the shit the big companies get away with? Make up and follow some sane laws for once, will ya?
Stop this fucking madness. You've got your priorities all wrong. Stop putting decent folks in cages.

There should be some sort of process that makes sure the models are treated exactly like all other models. Meaning that they are clearly informed of what will be done with the pictures, are not threatened or coerced in any way, and compensated fairly.

Maybe not legalize completely but how about bringing the definition of 'child porn' more in line with reality? I mean seriously folks haven't we gone a bit overboard and over broad when it comes to this? You take a picture of your own damn kid in the bathtub, take the film (for those that still use film) to Wal-Mart for processing and they call the fucking cops on you. That's bullshit.
Want more? What about the poor sap in Florida recently who cut-and-pasted -with scissors and glue- kids heads onto the bodies of adult women in magazines and ended up getting busted for 'manufacturing' kid porn? (look for the link yourself, that is what google is for).
Take a pic of a kid in a park? Yep, they get ya there too. I think you get my point.
When you see real kid porn you know it, and I'm reasonably certain a nude pic of a kid on the beach in Europe does not qualify as kid porn. Neither do those young model sites where little girls dress up in lingerie and pose. Is it suggestive? Absolutely. But is it kidporn? I think not.
Another flawed argument is this 're-victimization' bullshit. It's a fucking picture, okay? If one person or 10,000 look at it, exactly HOW does this victimize the subject repeatedly? Answer: It doesn't.
The dirty little secret about kidporn is despite what the media and authorities would tell you, there really isn't much new out there at all. Those that have been looking at it for any length of time would agree that most of what is out there today - I'm talking about the hardcore stuff, not just poses- has been around since the earliest days of the internet and the shit was old then. Some of these 'girls' must be grandmothers by now.
The Feds know this, but they perpetuate the lie that every man who carries a digicam is a potential child pornographer, just waiting to snatch your precious snowflake up into a world of debauchery. I don't think so. But it makes for good press.
I digress. Legalize all of it? Maybe not, but certainly re-define it, and stop coming down on guys like the hand of God for looking at a fucking picture.
