There is no way that you could possibly know for sure that there is no higher power, and quite frankly, it's pretty fucking unlikely that there would not be any. But then again, who the hell made God? (And so on in eternity…)
Don't be a stupid atheist. Just accept that you cannot possibly know what the hell is going on beyond our little universe which might be nothing more than a tiny particle inside the inner core of an atom of some huge giant which is really just another life form living in a universe which is also just a tiny particle inside… You probably get my point.
And no, I'm absolutely not religious. I find religious people incredibly retarded. But then again, I also find atheists equally ignorant since they are also just making assumptions based on no logic whatsoever. Let's say that our little sandbox is in fact made by a higher life form. Would it really equip us with the possibility of ever finding this out for sure? Most likely not.
(I have a much more in-depth and interesting thread in my head that I have been wanting to type out and post for quite some time. I will wait a bit longer, though…)

Atheism is not just the absoulte belief that there is no god, its the disbelief in a god, meaning that as an atheist im not saying that there defiantely is not a god, i simply dont believe there is.

One can, with a bit of obvious thinking, dismiss essentially any gods that are part of current religions such as Christianity, Islam, etc. If god exists, man will never know him for an omniscient being would have no desire to have anything to do with something as lowly as ourselves, or any desire at all really. On the other hand, one can't eliminate the idea of a higher power in general, as nobody truly can know.

It can be a form of atheism, but it's not a common one and very misleading.

Agnosticism means "without knowledge".
A (without) theist (religion).
