How do you know when you love someone? How do you decide what is love, and what is just liking eachother alot? :S

You normally can tell by how much you feel about them.
Example:
I can tell that I love my girlfriend because I am fucking depressed when I don't see her for a week, I would go through hell for her and I just have the feeling that I cannot exist without her.
On the other hand I can tell that I just like another girl (friend of mine) and am not in love with her since I enjoy talking to her but don't really see a point in helping her and don't really care if I don't see her for a long time.

It's just than now that I moved back to my home country (Germany) I miss her a lot and I sometimes get depressed in the evening.

Has to do with whether you would be literally prepared to spend the rest of your life with the person as a soulmate after liking them a lot for a substantial (3 years+) amount of time. Everyone has a different definition though.
That said, I feel the word gets thrown around too much now.

When you can honestly say that if that person turned around and spat in your face, kicked your ass, stole your car, blew all of your money, made out with one (or both) of your parents, spread lies and hate about you on the internet, broke your computer, and got you banned from every chan, after all of that you'd still forgive that person and feel the same underneath the anger.
That's love. That's it.

@29,966They do indeed. Watching my friends say "I love you" to their girlfriends a lot makes me frown.
Generally I say it to my girlfriend every 2 or 3 days or so and normally in a situation where I find it fitting, same counts for her she doesn't like to say it when it has no meaning.

That's the beauty of marriage and divorce. Divorce gives you a way to make the thoughtless son of a bitch miserable that's lied to you for years.
