Is it really legal for health books to show weed in such a negative manner? They list all of the negative effects (dry mouth, hunger, disorientation, ect.) and don't mention the positive ones (euphoria, calming, ect). They also multiply the dangers of weed exponentially. Weed is less harmful to a person than Alcohol is. And please, none of that 'weed is bad' stuff, not everything that is illegal is wrong.

I've read somewhere before that hemp was ultimately outlawed mainly because it was going to replace timber farms as a cheaper and more efficient source for paper production, which would have lost William Randolph Hearst millions of dollars, causing him to start the whole anti-hemp/marijuana campaign of misinformation. It was probably on a pro-pot site, so who knows. Weed is only "bad" in that it demotivates people. People who smoke weed sit around and do jack shit. If everyone smoked weed, nothing would ever get done and society would collapse.

weed is not safe than alcohol percentage wise. Alcohol being legal means far, far more people drink it, and so obviously more people die or are injured from it through accidents while drunk, alcohol poisoning, etc. if taken as a percentage, more people die from weed related accidents than alcohol related ones. as weed is illegal, it is very difficult to get accurate data, but from what is around the following have been proven: weed demotivates people, and lessens productivity (NOTE: productivity, not creativity); IT CAN lead to cancer, most tobacco related cancers are from the accual smoke and not the tobacco itself, same applies to weed and even normal wood fire smoke; many chemicals linked with depression ARE present in weed. while not in sufficent numbers to be of and real worry, excessive use CAN and WILL lead to depression. (it is interesting to note than many depression causing chemicals found in weed are also found in many commen medicines); weed does have a pain decreasing effect, though only on certain injuries. if you break your legs, smoking a joint will distract you but not lessen the pain. however, cancer patients, those suffering from blood diseases (including aids) and eyes problems can have the pain lessened by smoking weed.

in summary, don't be a retard, weed is bad for you, as bad a tobacco, not as bad as alcohol, yes it causes cancer, yes it can kill you.
