I'm in freenet and i clicked on "ultimate freenet index" but when i click on links it just takes ages then refreshes and stays on the same page, how do i actually download stuff?

becuase people have seen posts on this site saying u can get stuff on freenet u can't get any other place and start using it with the assumption it'll be as simple and safe as google when perhaps it is not
