i cant figure out how to work freenet. sorry if i sound stupid, but how do you do it?

freenet seems weird and kinda spooky, I'm a mac user so perhaps not the most IT literate here, I can tell you my computer seems to have slowed down a little since installing it, btw I still havn't gotten anywhere with it either…I'm not too sure I want to tho
