Topic: Why do little girls seem almost "forced" to talk to strangers?

When I am on my long walks, little girls often look at me as I approach them and they approach me (with their parents/whatever) and their mouths shift between ":I" and ":3", but I can tell that they are just bubbling inside to open their cute little mouths and say something! ^-^

"Hiii!"
"What's your name?"

Etc. It's like they "have" to say something… perhaps to not be "rude"…

I never know quite how to react in those situations. Answer them and smile? Look at their parents and greet them? Just smile? Bend down and answer them in the voice you use when you talk to a pet?

How does one behave? :-S

smile, say your name, and keep walking. ask her name, maybe. a tell her parents she's cute or pretty. walk away.

Smile, say hi, if she asks your name, tell her and ask her name, compliment the parent, say goodbye and keep walking.

How do I compliment a loli to their parent(s) without me sounding like a horny pedophile?

"What a nice daughter you have" or "It appears that you have a well mannered daughter madam"

"What an adorable daughter you have! You must be very proud of her, huh?" works. Just don't keep staring at the loli and every compliment will be fine.

Little girls always say hi to me when I'm walking around. I think it's because I look lonely, although I try not to. What a stand-up thing to do, try to talk to a lonely person. Too bad their hearts of gold will turn to stone as they get older, and as teenagers they will mock lonely people.

Agreed. And I also suspect that some of them realize that I'm lonely…

Kids always look at people they are just curious. Just smile back.

Question of the ages!

And yeah, I get a lot of little girls saying hello to me. Just today I had two little girls say "Hi!" to me as I biked by. I never know what to say. I too suspect it's because I look lonely.

Tell the parents that their daughter is cute or pretty and keep walking…. No need to arouse suspicion by being overly friendly or withdrawn…
