Topic: Unicode character "drawing" program?

Is there any such thing (for Windows and that is freeware)? I remember using some shitty Java program years ago which could draw with ASCII characters, but that's not what I want now…

To clarify: I want to be able to "paint" but with Unicode symbols on a copyable text area instead of pixels on a bitmap.
