It's the 4th of July, all the Americans (probably the majority of posters) are out shooting off fireworks, getting drunk, spending time with family, etc.

Yeah, but Americans aren't the only ones here… I hope. I don't know for sure yet since I haven't been able to figure out how to make Webalizer work retroactively to look up the IP addresses from the recent logs (I refuse to let the poor Web server do look-ups for each request).

Hmm… that's another thing to put on the mile-long "to do" list…

I spent the whole weekend drinking until the sun came up, smoking far too many cigarettes, and spending way more money than I should have. But alas the weekend has ended and I shall return to my normal routine of working all day, posting on AT for the majority of the night, passing out, and then repeating.

I'm american. I spent a day firing semiautomatic rifles at the range, then drank sangria and lit mortars. we [my neighborhood] was full of major and minor explosions. I walked across my little Northwest town, it was hot out. I went to a jazz club and listened to deep blue tunes. drank some whiskey. wandered around my garden afterward, cooked a steak at 3 am.

not pleased with my government; I'm not of the opinion that national boundaries have any real meaning. granfalloons.

but I enjoyed shooting at targets, I enjoyed the explosions, the jazz, the steak. I got paid, for the day.

revolution- celebrating refolutions of the past- this is not purely an american habit.

and it's good to have a drunken ramble with explosives once in a while. firearms are enjoyable as well. beer and hamburgers- there's nothing wrong with this.

and today I got to see a lot of new photos of injured hands, faces, and fingers. that's my favorite part of the holiday.
