Topic: What does this little icon next to Google AdSense ads mean?

It doesn't seem to be a link and it only appears sometimes. I really cannot figure it out.

Is that a wild guess, or do you know for sure? What's the source? And what do you mean by "pop-up"? That they open in a new instance instead of the current one?

Wild guess, but the description suggest it to be a flash based link that opens a pop-up.

It means that if you click the link it will open in a new window.
